Maya Khan, MA, NCC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a double Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. I have been practicing since July 2023 and also am a PhD candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Marymount University since the Fall of 2024.
Multilingual in English, Urdu and Hindi, Ms. I have extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including immigrant communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodiverse clients, and other historically minoritized groups. I am particularly passionate about helping clients recover from trauma, and her clinical approach emphasizes cultural competency and a deep respect for each individual’s unique experiences and challenges.
My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space for healing and growth. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my methods to the needs of each client. Whether working with individuals facing trauma, substance use, behavioral challenges, or co-occurring disorders, I want to motivate clients to take an active role in their therapeutic journey. My goal is to support individuals in achieving lasting, positive change and greater emotional well-being.
